Foot Pain Can Occur for Different Reasons

There are numerous joints, muscles, and tendons that connect the bones in the feet. There are many reasons why injuries to the feet can occur, often causing pain and reduced flexibility. For example, if you are experiencing heel pain, you may have what is known as a heel spur, or it can be indicative of plantar fasciitis. Both of these ailments can be caused by wearing shoes that do not fit properly, or from frequently participating in specific sporting activities. If you notice a yellow, hardened area on the top of the toes, you may have developed a corn. Mild relied can be found when a protective pad is applied to the affected area, in addition to wearing shoes that are slightly larger. A bunion is a deformity of the bone in the big toe. For severe bunions, surgery may be a viable option to permanently remove the bony protrusion. If you have any type of foot pain, it is advised that you seek the counsel of a podiatrist who can properly treat any kind of foot pain.
